Presentation

The WASH Economics Conference aims to bring together academics doing research on water supply, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). The 2024 edition of the conference will take place from 21 to 22 May at the Aix-Marseille School of Economics in Marseille (France) and via video-conferencing (hybrid format).

The event is co-organised by the Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE), the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and the Institute for Fiscal Studies.

Keynote speaker: Molly Lipscomb, University of Virginia.

We are inviting abstract submissions. Paper topics may relate to any area of WASH economics, loosely defined as how actors (e.g., individuals, providers, governments) make decisions about the allocation and means of providing scarce resources in the delivery and use of WASH services. Submissions related to any setting globally are welcome, as are submissions from researchers working on such issues within disciplines beyond economics (e.g., engineering, public health).
